DIGI-1 interface made by Wimo Antenna Ltd
"Soundcard interfaces are used primarily to isolate the PC from the transceiver. This reduces the risk of a ground loop, preventing hum and noise on the modulation. Besides the pure isolation of AF signals some of these devices offer more functions like level adjustment, PTT control, CW keying and a CAT interface as well.
DIGI-1. Universal sound card interface for digital modes (PSK-31, RTTY, FAX, SSTV etc.) and for Voice Keyer.
The interface is the link between the PC (sound card) and the transceiver. Internal jumpers enable universal configuration; all required cables are part of the kit so there is no need for soldering plug-ins etc. The interface features separate adjustments for the RX and TX audio level; hums are avoided by the use of a galvanic transformer on the trx side. The interface does not require a power supply. The opto-coupled PTT control is either realized via the VOX or by using the COM port. There is an additional opto-coupled CW interface integrated which allows running programs like CT, SD etc. for computer-aided CW transmission.
The enclosed microphone cable fits all short wave transceivers with 8-pin microphone jacks as well as 8-pin Western plugs (like used for IC-706). All other cables are also supplied, as there are: 3x audio for sound card, sub-D for COM port as well a demo program on diskette."
